BMW C 400GT SADDLE TRANSFORMATION

This photo shows the original BMW C 400GT with the factory saddle

The customer, being over six feet tall, found the saddle quite uncomfortable. Narrow and low to be exact.

We therefore agreed together to widen the seat on the sides, and to thicken it 
by eight centimeters at the front and four centimeters at the rear

So after applying two different layers of padding, we went to work it in order to obtain the shape we wanted

Once this was done, it was decided, based on the pilot's needs, to implement a prostatic relief

and to make the seat even more comfortable by applying gel inserts to both the pilot and passenger seats

To reposition the backrest, we had to create plates to be able to lift it and move it back in order to lengthen the seat

As always, everything was wrapped in a thin finishing sponge which compacts the workmanship and prepares it for lining

The peculiarity of choosing AS Design also lies in the possibility of CUSTOMIZING.

The customer has the opportunity to create a saddle to his exclusive liking, by 
choosing the type of fabric, the color, the texture and the desired 
customization whether it is with logos, drawings or writings

In our case, the customer opted for two types of black bi-elastic eco-leather.

The different texture of the two fabrics, through a play of light, sends back two 
shades of the same color, for a truly unique optical effect.

This is the final result. Despite the enlargement and thickening of the seat, the saddle is still linear and tapered.
 A feast for the eyes ... but not only for the eyes ;-)
