Each saddle has a story linked to its bike. The story of this saddle is particular and deserves to be told. The customer met us through Tik toc, and through our videos fell in love with our work. He followed us for some time, until he decided to customize the seat of his motorcycle.
He wanted a particular and certainly unique saddle. He imagined it in a cafe racer style, with a rear hump and to personalize it with side numbers, as he had seen done on a saddle we posted some time before.
The general idea was to create an old-fashioned codon. Once in the laboratory for the consultation, looking at a codon present in the exhibition area, he came up with the idea of having us make the extension of the saddle. The main and most important request was to cover a gap of 4-5 centimeters between the saddle and the frame of his bike. In particular, he didn't want to see the frame under the seat. So, instead of going for just this cover, we thought of creating a roundness underneath, to emulate an old-fashioned codon.

So first of all we made this addition on the body, first of all to cover the void and then to create a roundness that allows us to give the desired shape to the saddle.
In fact, the roundness was necessary to have the possibility of subsequently creating the oval where to insert the number 13.
Then the rear hump was thickened and given the chosen shape.
As regards the realization of the lining, we were given carte blanche both as regards the design of the same, and as regards the combination and choice of color and stitching.
We therefore thought of and chose a two-tone black bi-elastic eco-leather, with carbon weave inserts. Gold and black stitching.

Here is the completed saddle. Vertical lines on the seat in rough eco-leather, side inserts in carbon and orange peel eco-leather. We have also included a carbon insert on the rear hump as well.
This is the result obtained on the Ducati Monster. Retro and elegant but at the same time with a sporty spirit.
The pilot seat has not been changed. How to comfort the customer did not complain of any problems, so it was decided to keep it unchanged.
13 is the number chosen by the customer. It is not a simple personalized embroidery, but an overlaying and stitching of pieces. The writing 13 was drawn and cut out by hand as was done for the oval.
In the photo you can see the two shades of black. Orange peel and rough, for a truly unique chromatic visual effect.
The impatient customer was blown away by the work. No spoilers for him on the processing. He gave us complete confidence in creating the cover. An honor for us. Difficult for anyone to buy "unseen" especially if the expense is not small and non-refundable like one of the many mass purchases. Glad to have fully satisfied.
