The passenger section underwent a comprehensive modification to address complaints regarding discomfort, sliding forward, and soreness. Specifically, the passenger seat was too short, causing the rider to sit on the raised ridge—the transition point between the passenger seat and the rider’s backrest/hump.
In addition to widening and thickening the passenger seat, we leveled the padding to create a seamless transition into the rider’s section, effectively eliminating that troublesome ridge.
Consequently, the rider’s backrest/hump was also thickened, which improved lumbar support.
To further enhance comfort, we integrated a gel insert into both seating areas.
As for the cover, we were given complete creative freedom; the client trusted our judgment. We opted for a design featuring ergonomic, contoured lines, with raised stitching that creates a quilted, decorative pattern.
The chosen design lends a geometric look that complements the lines of the motorcycle’s bodywork.
