Seat for BMW R 1100 GS
Conversion of a saddle for BMW R 1100 GS
Bmw r 1100 gs enters the enduro/offroad category.
The motorcycle has an engine displacement of 1085.00 cc (66.21 ci) and a total power output of 80.00 hp (58.4 kW) at 6800 rpm with a two-cylinder, 4-stroke boxer engine with electric start.
Even if it doesn't seem like it, this generation of motorcycles is now 27 years old.
It goes without saying that our customer's saddle (which was not his original saddle anyway) needed a general restyling. Taking this opportunity, it was decided to make the seat more comfortable and suited to his needs.
AS Design, in fact, works precisely on the personalization of the products, to make them more comfortable and suitable for the needs and physical conformation of the pilot.
Below are the various stages of the transformation.

The customer brought his motorbike to our laboratory with a generic saddle which he adapted to the BMW R 1100 GS. His request was to improve its aesthetic appearance, in order not to make everything seem improvised.

This is how it looked originally. With the tank and sides stripped.

Starting from the body, we filled the void under the saddle with a piece of sheet metal.

At this point, a reshaping of the tip was needed, so that it would ride up the tank.

We then proceeded to reshape the padding, rebuilding the tip onto the tank.

After that, the lining had to be redone according to the customer's directives and tastes. Black and white were chosen in line with the Marlboro colors.

The GS lettering on the side, to complete the aesthetics of the bike, makes the project complete and not at all approximate.
A job that fully satisfied the customer's request.
